Founded in 2008, the ‘LotusPrize’ International Industrial Design and Innovation Competition is a biannual event that has successfully held three competitions. During the past six years, with strong governmental support, prospective contents, reputable line up of judges and a wide range of excellent entries, the competition has attracted over 10000 designers from 15 different countries and has became a global platform for ‘Innovative Hunan’, promoting design related international communication and cooperation.
Recently, global industries have been experiencing profound changes at an unprecedented pace. While holding its good traditions, the design event this year also tries to make some innovative changes, aiming to build a more open and effective platform to encourage public participation, construct professional collaborations, rapidly incubate innovations and at the same time promoting economy and social service innovation, creating a sustainable environment and cultural life.
