Xiong Xiaoge is the founding partner of IDG Capital, Vice President of IDG Head Office and President of IDG Asia. In 1993, he helped IDG founder President McGovern establish Pacific Venture Fund in China (now known as IDG Capital) and holds more than 2.5 Billion USD venture funds in China, becoming the first person to introduce technology venture into China.

In 1998, he represented IDG Planning and Technology Venture Capital Fund (China Science Department) providing 1 Billion USD to Chinese technology industries. ‘China Information World’, ‘China Computer World’ and ‘Computer News’ etc are all media invested by IDG. At the same time, IDG has invested in over 60 Chinese websites including Sohu, Eachnet, HC360, Dangdang, Tencent QQ, 3721 etc and has been named as the ‘Chinese First in High Technology Venture Fund’ and ‘Chinese Information Messenger’.
