Jamy YangMingjie is one of the few Shanghai-based industrial designers who has achieved international recognition. He has received master degree of industrial design from Germany and working experiences in Siemens design headquarter in Munich. He has won more than 60 local and international design awards including 5 Red Dot and iF, G-mark, IDEA, DFA Silver. His product designs are being included in renowned design exhibitions and museums worldwide.

Jamy founded YANG DESIGN in 2005. It has been developing to become a leading professional product strategy and innovative design consultancy. In 2013, Jamy’s industrial design museum was completed as the first Chinese private one in this category, where thousands of his vintage industrial product collections and innovative designs exhibit to reveal the clue of past, modern and future industrial design history.

His over twenty-year persistence and outstanding performance in design industry make him become good partner with international renowned brands and cultural and nonprofits organizations like Greenpeace, One Foundation etc. He has good pieces come out as diverse as sunglasses, suitcase, airplane cabin, home appliance, furniture and public facility, to present his design philosophy of “Creating perfect user experiences”. His “T-BOX” multi-functional home system design for one Italian famous brand has been launched at main pavilion 2011 Salone Milano; “Serenity” tea set design has won appreciation from public including Chinese first lady PengLi yuan; Rescue tent design for One Foundation provides earthquake victims asylum to improve their mental and living status.
