“LotusPrize” Winner Won WT Award

News came from Milan that “Oil Cleaning Guard”, winner of the 2nd “LotusPrize” International Industrial Design and Innovation Competition, won the 12th WT Award for Sustainable Design, and was presented during Milan Design Week in Comune di Milano. Tingting Hu, Ran Li, Xiaoyang Zhao and Yi Zhu from Hunan University designed this work, its aim is to solve the problem brought by leaked oil floating on the ocean. After Design Week, this work will be collected by renowned design museum in Italy.

WT Award is a prize for technological innovation now in its 12th edition. It is co-organized by Comune di Milano, Camera di Commercio Industria Artigianato e Agricoltura di Milano, Politecnico di Milano etc. Through a continuous activity of monitoring the world of manufacture and research, each year Well-Tech’s observatory unearths sixty products that stand out at an international level for their technological innovation and their qualities of accessibility, sustainability and quality of life. Among them, three will be chosen to be the winner of three categories as well as three for Special awards of Milan and one for Special Awards of Well-Tech.

Winning international awards again and being presented during Milan Design Week— one of the three biggest design weeks in the world that aged 51, means “LotusPrize” is closer to the international frontier in terms of international-level and high quality. This helps to promote the influence of “LotusPrize” in international society.
